No. You will have to get your fingerprints on cards and mail them directly to the FBI.
Valid forms of payment include the following:
- A company provided Direct Bill Authorization form (must be presented at the time of the appointment)
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards

The Ohio BCI processes and mails out all background checks for the state of Ohio. To check the status of your background check, you can contact the BCI at 877-224-0043, and press option 0 for identification.
The average response time from Ohio BCI is 5-7 business days, but can take up to *45 days to process.
Yes. We have locations (nationwide) that can fingerprint onto a fingerprint card (FD258) and give those cards back to you. See our locations tab to find a location near you.
For some licensing agencies that accept results electronically from the Ohio BCI&I, they do allow a second hard copy to be sent to the individual or another location. For employment reasons a second copy is not allowed to be sent to another location directly. Select BCI copies can be resent, but must be requested through BCI&I directly at 877-224-0043, option 0. The FBI copy is never released a second time.

No. To find the most up-to-date list of locations that provide Florida fingerprinting services, please visit our locations tab and look for “Florida Level 2 Livescan background checks available at this location (with or without photo)” under the location’s description.
Yes, you can typically request a copy of your BCI report from the Ohio BCI. There are stipulations, but you can obtain that information from their website at www.ohio attorneygeneral.gov.
Customers may request a refund within thirty (30) calendar days of submitting an application, and prior to processing of said application. Once an application is processed (submitted to the agency requested), refunds are no longer available. National Background Check, Inc. and/or FastFingerprints is/are not responsible for refunds due to the selection of incorrect transaction types or services, inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer, or rejections due to poor quality of prints. This applies to both electronic captures and submissions including fingerprint cards. Once printed, fingerprint cards are not eligible for a refund.
Upon approval, refunds will be issued within thirty (30) calendar days.
Appointments must be canceled, through our website, at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a $15.00 charge for missed appointments.
No, FastFingerprints does not process fingerprints for Hazmat endorsements. Hazmat background checks are handled by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Florida Frequently Asked Questions
An ORI number is a 9-digit code containing letters and numbers that acts like a routing number and determines where the background check results will be sent. This number should be provided by the employer or licensing agency that requested the background check.
Your TCN is the Transaction Number from your receipt.
Many state agencies and employers require a photograph to be taken at the time of fingerprinting. Please verify with your employer or licensing agency if a photograph is required as we cannot add it later.
No. We are unable to edit any information that has already been transmitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. This includes a photograph. If your fingerprints were already taken and transmitted to the FDLE then we are unable to send only a photo. You will need to schedule a new appointment to have your fingerprints and photograph taken.
Navigate to the FDL TCN lookup page at https://cchinet.fdle.state.fl.us/search/app/tcnlookup?2 and enter the Transaction Number (TCN) from your receipt.
Florida’s background screening system is set up so that results go directly to the clearinghouse for the requesting agency or employer by using your ORI number as a routing number. W are never provided a copy of the results of any Florida background check so we are unable to provide those results to you.
To request a copy of your results, please contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, provide your Transaction Number (TCN) from your receipt, and request a copy from them.

ON COMPUTER: At the top click “Cancel/Reschedule” - Enter Appointment ID and last 4 of SSN. (This will cancel the appointment.)

You will be asked for a form of payment during this re-booking process because we do not charge the card on file until fingerprints are completed and submitted. This is a courtesy for our valued customers so we are not tying up your funds unnecessarily.
FastFingerprints does take payment information at the time of scheduling but we do not charge the card on file until the time of your appointment. If you are receiving emails citing a decline, please contact our Customer Support team and we will be happy to assist you with resolving the issue.
Florida’s background screening system is designed to be automated if all the required information is provided. If you are receiving emails requesting additional information it is likely that you are missing an ORI number.
