Columbus, OH – FastFingerprints, a division of National Background Check, Inc. (NBCI), is proud to announce its participation in a pilot program in collaboration with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). This initiative is designed to enhance the electronic fingerprint capture process for out-of-state applicants who require Ohio background checks for employment and licensing purposes.

Out-of-state applicants can now conveniently start their fingerprinting process by visiting register.fastfingerprints.com, where they can locate a LiveScan (electronic fingerprinting) facility near them. If no LiveScan location is available nearby, applicants can still complete the registration online and choose to mail their fingerprint cards to FastFingerprints for processing.

This innovative program is structured to simplify and streamline the fingerprinting and background check experience for applicants, Ohio employers, state licensing boards, and other stakeholders. The key benefits of this initiative include:

  • An Online Registration Tool – A user-friendly platform that makes registration quick and efficient.
  • Customizable Organization Links – Employers and organizations can obtain a unique registration link, allowing applicants to easily access the correct registration portal.
  • Application Tracking – Both applicants and employers can monitor the status of submitted background checks.
  • Comprehensive Customer Support – FastFingerprints provides full applicant support, reducing administrative burdens for employers.
  • Employer Access Codes – These codes ensure accurate processing by pre-setting BCI and/or FBI reason codes, delivery methods, and payment options, eliminating confusion and delays.

Employers can further benefit from this pilot program by establishing a direct bill account with FastFingerprints, allowing for seamless payment processing and enhanced applicant tracking. This reduces errors, eliminates unnecessary processing delays, and improves overall efficiency in the hiring and licensing process.

By leveraging this pilot program, organizations can provide their applicants with a smoother and more reliable fingerprinting and background check experience, while ensuring compliance with Ohio’s requirements.
