Privacy Policy

All information collected and received during the process of fingerprinting and dissemination of background check results is kept confidential and meant for National Background Check, Inc. (NBCI) use only. The information is not shared, rented, sold or loaned with any entity outside of the NBCI network except for the destination requested at the time of fingerprinting.

The registration form completed and signed at the time of fingerprinting is the official document of the transaction. This form indicates to NBCI where to send the results of the State and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal history record search.

The result of a criminal history check that is returned from the State or FBI is sent only to the destination indicated on the registration form. In some instances, the result is sent directly from the State to the destination, and a criminal history result is not sent to NBCI.

Registration/order forms and acquired information from background check investigation requests are also kept confidential and only shared with the requested party in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

All fingerprint cards received for the purpose of fingerprint card scanning are destroyed approximately thirty (30) days after the transaction is completed. They are stored in a secure facility that can only be accessed by authorized NBCI personnel.
