Background Check Investigations

As our customers’ need for additional background check information increased, we expanded our services to meet their needs. Accordingly, FastFingerprints created a Background Check Investigations Division in 2004. This division bestowed FastFingerprints with the ability to be a full-service background check company, offering everything from social security number verification and registered sex offender searches to name-based state background checks and driving record inquiries.

Below are examples of the services that our Background Check Investigations Division provides:

Civil Record Search – The Civil Record Search Report is completed at the county level. This report will provide information about lawsuits to which the applicant is – or has been – a party.
Criminal Background Search – The Criminal Background Search Report can be completed at the county, state and national levels. This report will detail any convictions the individual may have had.
Driving History Search – The Driving History Search Report returns the driving history of the individual. Some states require an additional release form to be signed by the individual.
Drug Screening/Testing – FastFingerprints is capable of administering both five- and ten-panel drug testing.
Education Verification – The Education Verification Report verifies the individual’s educational background, including details like college(s) attended, date(s) attended and degree(s) received.
Employment Verification – The Employment Verification Report verifies the individual’s employment history, including details like firm(s) worked for, date(s) of employment and position(s) held.
Federal Civil Report – The Federal Civil Report details any civil case(s) to which the individual has been a party at the federal level.
Federal Criminal Report – The Federal Criminal Report details any criminal history the individual has at the federal level.
Global Report – The Global Report indicates if the individual is on a U.S. and/or foreign sanction or watch list, and is conducted through searches of various government-maintained databases.
I-9 Verification – The I-9 Verification Report verifies an individual’s “right to work” under the Immigration Reform and Control Act. An electronic verification is performed on the individual’s SSN, Immigration “A” number and I-94 arrival/departure number.
Medical Exclusion Report – The Medical Exclusion Report reveals if the individual has been excluded from working in federally funded healthcare programs.
Ohio Workers’ Compensation Claim Search – The Ohio Workers’ Compensation Claim Search Report reveals any Workers’ Compensation claims filed by the individual within the state of Ohio.
Pre-employment Credit Report – The Pre-employment Credit Report details the individual’s financial history. This report is provided by one of the three primary credit bureaus. Credit scores are not provided with this report.
Professional License Search – The Professional License Search Report verifies if an individual’s state or federally issued professional license(s).
Registered Sex Offender Search – The Registered Sex Offender Search Report reveals whether or not the individual in question has registered as a sex offender in any state. This report is generally facilitated by the results of the Social Security Number Verification Report.
Social Security Number (SSN) Verification – The Social Security Number Verification Report verifies the individual’s previous address(es), that their SSN is both valid and issued in the individual’s name, and whether or not the holder of the number has been reported deceased. The Social Security Administration (SSA) can also be contacted for further verification that the name matches the SSN.
Tenant Records Search – The Tenant Records Search Report assists landlords and property managers in identifying tenants who have previously broken contractual obligations. This report searches the most comprehensive landlord/tenant database available. The records come from civil courts around the country, not from landlords.
